Use a box with or without a hinged lid, a cigar box, pencil box or any box can be adapted. I used Basic Grey Nook and Pantry to cover my box.  I cut the pieces just a bit smaller to where I was going to glue them (permanent glue stick) then sanded the edges and used chalk ink to  get an antique looking finish.  My letters were Melissa Frances rub ons, but you can use anything including computer print on card stock for your title.  Recipe cards are cut to fit inside, recipes attatched and as an added look I attached photos of special events ( xmas, birthdays, thanksgiving etc) on the other side.  Love the look any questions, email me, enjoy!!
